Budweiser Maracanã

On May 8, 2026, Budweiser turned Maracanã into a giant beer bucket: three 36-metre hot-air balloons shaped like bottles, wearing the art of the 1994, 2002 and 2026 World Cups. Part of “The Big Drop”, celebrating 40 years of the brand with the FIFA World Cup, the action entered the Guinness World Records as the world’s largest tethered beer-bottle hot-air balloon. We photographed it from the air and from inside the stadium.
